KISS-B win school tag rugby title

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) asserted its supremacy, winning the top three prizes in the School Tag Rugby Tournament at Unit-VI Boys High School ground here today. The B team of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), the tribal school of KIIT, emerged champions, defeating KIIT International School 18-15 in the final, while KISS-A finished third, edging out Venkateswar English Medium School (Chandrasekharpur) 13-12. Earlier in the semifinals, KISS-B beat KISS-A, while KIIT International got the better of Venkateswar English Medium School.

Altogether 14 schools, comprising of a total of 168 boys and girls, participated in the day-long tournament, which was organised by Odisha Rugby Football Association in collaboration with Tag Rugby Trust India.
Other team teams in the fray included Padasahi School, Nandankanan School, Marichia School, Sai International School, Unit-VI VEMS, Sri Aurobindo School, Pokhariput DAV School, Unit-VI Boys High School, Baleswar Combined School, Khandagiri School.
